Okay! I'm back! As I explained in my last post, this week's TCP Tuesday Color Challenge is...
And here's what I came up with...
Doesn't that bunny look dreamy? I'm thinking he must be back in Colorado, where the temps were in the 60s and 70s all last week while we were there on our family RV trip. *sigh* Unfortunately, we weren't able to bring that weather home with us. *sigh* Hot weather makes me feel like sighing. *sigh*
Okay, okay -- I'll snap out of my sweaty, sighing reverie to give you a few card details. Dreamy bunny, mushrooms and sentiment are from TCP's Blow set.
The bunny and mushroom tops were paper pieced, and the rest of the scene was colored with Copic markers. The images were masked and I airbrushed the sky and grass, using the Nestie die (Big Scalloped Ovals, Large) to frame the panel out. The denim looking paper is some ancient CTMH stuff from my stash, but the fun ribbon treatment is brand new. It's actually Japanese adhesive ribbon tape we stumbled onto at the CHA Supershow, and it's really fun. The flower embellie was created using TCP's Flower Button and Button Cut-Ups and felt from the Seeing Red collection. The sketch is Jen's SFYTT from this past weekend.
For all the details on how to play along with our TCP Tuesday Challenge this week, read my first post of the day, which you can find here.
Can I please get back to a little moaning and groaning? I need someone to feel my pain. Have you ever had a ganglion cyst? I have one in the wrist of my right hand. I've had it for years. It kind of looks like a smallish gumball poking out from the underside of my wrist, near my thumb-bone. Sometimes it's big, sometimes it's barely visible. It usually doesn't give me much of a problem. But a couple of days ago, it started KILLING me! I took a few Tylenol, hoping it would subside, but no. It continued to throb. Then, yesterday, on the ride home from CO, I noticed that if I stared at the cyst, I could actually see my pulse.
I asked Sean if he thought that was normal. He informed me that not only was that not normal, it was a little freaky. So, I made an appointment to go into see the doctor about it tomorrow. In the meantime, I've done a little You Tube watching and saw a video of a surgeon removing a similar cyst from someone. It made me want to pass out and/or vomit. Then, I saw several You Tube videos of the old fashioned ganglion cyst remedy: smashing it with a book. I've always heard about this, but never really believed it. Sure enough, it seemed to work.
After a PTO meeting and soccer practice tonight, I'm going to have my husband whack my wrist with a book and see if we can remove my problem. I may even try to talk Truman into videoing it. I let you know -- and may even show you -- how it works out. Stay tuned...

Love your card. My Mom had a ganglion cyst eons ago. She had surgery to remove it. I had one on my wrist in college that came & went several times & finally disappeared completely. I remember the book thing, but never had the guts to try it. Good luck as I remember it being uncomfortable at times.

Okay - first things first. Your bunny card is precious and I'm double complimenting you since I also posted on your SCS gallery.
Secondly - I have a ganglion cyst too! I know, I know, I'm in another one of your boxes! Anywho - mine is my lower right jaw. It's never gotten big enough to see on my face - but it does change sizes every now and again.
While I embrace the idea of being hit on the wrist - I worry about giving my DH permission to hit me on the face with a book.
Let me know how it works out for you. . .and remember - I'm just a few miles away if you need to be rescued!

Oh fun, can't wait to hear how this goes. Yeah, Truman will gladly video it, he'd never want your fellow crafty (freaks) I means friends to miss out on such fun!!! And if it doesn't work and you go to the doctor - let us know how you explain that swollen, red hand. :}
Seriously; hoping all goes well.
Yep; love the card and the colors too!

Yet another entertaining, and oh so NOT boring post, Miss C! Make sure you properly anesthetize yourself before the book smashing session.
About the card--love it, and as hard as I've tried to use my red gingham fabric tape, I've had no such luck...love your tape job, however!

Fun card! Love the use of the fun Japanese tape! :) Hmm, I don't have a ganglion cyst but I do get these weird cysts when its hot and humid out(at least i don't think so according to Dr. Google but I am going to the dermatologist today so who the heck knows). Hope everything's ok!

Oh gosh I'm so behind reading your blog and I hope you haven't smashed the ganglion cyst yet. I had one on my right wrist and it was excrutiatingly painful. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and stuck a needle in it and succtioned it right out. He then squeezed the fluid it out from the syringe and onto a piece of gauze to show me. I was expecting blood and guts but it was a little pile of clear thick substance not unlike KY Jelly. I have a low threshhold for pain and the porcedure was quite tolerable. The cyst never returned and it's been 25 years. There was no anesthesia that I recall either. A veritable walk in the park.

The card is totally adorable! And so weird that you mention this cyst - I just found a small lump in my hand & was told be twitter & FB (you know, the experts) that it's a ganglion cyst. I had never even heard of one before this week, and now I find out my soul sister has one too. You really freak me out sometimes, woman! :-) Good luck with yours...
