Happy March, friends! I love March - spring is in sight, and it's the one year of the month that my favorite color is most in style. It's also Cerebral Palsy Awareness month - a cause near and dear to my heart. Another reason to love March? Jen's got a fab new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY! Check it out...
This month's SFYTT is sponsored by THE CRAFT'S MEOW - take a look at TCM icon, Little Frieda, peeking from behind the curtains... isn't she a doll?
I had the pleasure of meeting TCM ownder, Lisa Hjulberg, at CHA in January, and she is a delight. I'm so thrilled to be playing with one of her brand new sets, SEW LOVELY. It's chock full of vintage/retro goodness. I promise you, if I didn't already have this set in my hot little (actually, they're cold and big-knuckled, but that that's a tale for another day...) hands, I'd definitely be buying it ASAP. Here's what I did with it, using this months SFYTT:
Doesn't the gal in the image look just like me, as I stand near my dress form, with my pearls and swingy flip-do? (Nod your head.) When I looked at the images, I just had to reach for my Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket 6"x6" pad of patterned paper - an oldie but a goodie. I think, subconsciously, whenever I pick the main background patterned paper, I gravitate towards the brightest color to use as my main accent color. Hence the turquoise cardstock, ribbon, and flocked brads. The ivory panels were all sponged with Wild Honey Distress Ink. The image and sentiment were stamped in SU! Ruby Red Ink. A little sewing was also required, as was the tiny clothes pin.
I've gone on the record about the necessity of signing one's cards, so I was giddy to find this image was part of set - take a look at my backside...
Be sure to visit Jen's blog to see what she and the Designer of the Month, ROSEMARY DENNIS, have put together to inspire you. You'll also want to swing by my SFYTT Sisters blogs to see what sensational stuff they have up their sleeves:

Before I let you go, I have to share a picture of my favorite little wizard, all dressed up for Book Character Day at his school yesterday. He definitely has me under his spell. :)
And here's the skinny re: how you can participate in this month's SFYTT. Keep 'em coming all through the year, and you'll be eligible to win a HUGE prize package in December. (And, as fast as this year is flying by, December will be here before we know it!)

I'm a GREEN girl too :)
And I love what you've done with this sketch and with these colors :) Cheerful and fun. :)
And he's just the cutest little guy ever. Awesome job on the costume.

I always feel silly saying "Your card is gorgeous, darling, pretty, etc." since there has never been a time I was not completely amazed at your creations! However, this is DARLING! :)
And, Carter is pretty awesome too! He made a better wizard than Daniel Radcliffe! And you can tell I'm said that! :)

Awesome! I have to tell you I've been going nuts trying to come up with the details for an old-fashioned sewing theme and some stamps that just wouldn't go together for me. I am so going to case this card! A gazillion thanks.
