Bonjour, mon petit chous! (translation: Hello, my little cabbages!)
I'm feeling very ooh-la-la after finishing my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Not only did I use my favorite preppy color combo, but I also got a little *fancy* and used a French sentiment...
Since it's the last Monday of the month, the Mojo Monday challenge allows you to go a little wild and choose either a round or square version of the sketch. I typically go for square, but seeing as I was feeling very European when I made this, I opted for round. Crazy, I know! I used the rose image from Paper Smooches' Pretty Momma set and a sentiment from PS's Good Gab set. I also used PS's new Flag Tags stamp set and dies. The green patterned paper is from Carta Bella's True Friends 6x6 pad, and the pink patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye's Unforgettable 6x6 pad. I heat embossed the sentiment and flower in black embossing powder. The rose was colored using some Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils. Just got those, and don't quite know what I'm doing with them yet, but it's fun to try a new coloring medium.
Here's a look-see at the sketch:
Be sure to visit le Mojo Monday Blog for instructions to play along in this week's challenge, and don't forget to visit my fellow Mojo Makers to see what tres jolie (translation: very pretty) creations they concocted to inspire you.
