Yuck! So sorry it didn't pass...we felt kind of the same way when my town voted against the lighted sports complex. Keep your chin up and try, try again! :D

Fabulous card -- sorry it's not for a fabulous occasion! Your city is lucky to have people like you and your friends who are fighting to make a difference!

"You pay peanuts, you get monkeys." I like that...

I hope you don't mind a comment from a non-stamper - I figure we know each other a little since you post on my blog sometimes...

I lived in Tulsa for just over a year after college, before moving back to San Diego. Obviously I didn't get too attached, but I have it in my head that some of the locals told me about the stubbornness of the Tulsa voter. This is all from memory, so I could be way off, but I remember them saying something to the effect that the majority like Tulsa being small and lacking in amenities. The fewer attractions, the fewer tourists, the fewer the relocators who would "overrun" their fair city. Like I said, this is one of those memories that I have that I can't even remember where it came from. Kind of like how I swear someone told me I'm not supposed to wear black shoes with navy pants. But no one claims to have said it; only Jen tells me how to dress, so I don't know who it could have been.

Anyways, I'm rambling now. Keep pluggin' away at those crazy Oklahomans. They'll figure it out someday.

I think Tiffany's hair is gorgeous - and I want a trench coat just that shade too!
