I know! I'm getting a little cocky after my triumph over the stargazer lily earlier this week...
But I just couldn't resist breaking out my new Thankful Blossoms set by Verve Visual when I saw Jen's latest Sketch For You To Try. I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but it's very sparkly in real life thanks to tracing the initial ink with a purple Copic Spica marker then pouring prodigious amounts of Art Glitter on selected petals and the center. Then, of course, the corners cried out for attention and were rewarded with grape Bella Baubles. And isn't that sentiment awesome? Who wouldn't love receiving a card that says "You're Amazing"? My husband should send me one several times a week (can you imagine the return on that investment?! Men, take note! Of course, the men reading this blog? Probably not married. Not that there's anything wrong with that! Despite the fact that I live in Oklahoma, Sally Kern DOES NOT REPRESENT ME!!! I could say soooooooo much more and would like nothing better, but don't want to open a can of worms DH would be put in the position of closing. But those of you who have a remote clue of what I'm talking about know what I mean. In my opinion, that woman is a hate-mongering embarrassment. 'Nuff said.)
(Pardon me for a moment while I shake the fury out of my wee brain and get back into sweet-chatty-stamper mode... Grrr... All better now!
)
Did I mention that this is Jen's Sketch For You To Try? And that she and her guest designer Joanne have samples of said sketch on her blog? Or that you can see other fabulous cards using said sketch to inspire you on Shannan's, Susan's, and Amy's blogs? I didn't?! Well, I meant to. Sometimes my train of thought jumps the track... Anyway! Go see what those gals are doing, then make this sketch your own. And after you do, I hope you'll upload it to your SCS gallery (using the keyword SFYTT so we can check out what you do) and watch the comments pour in like the rain is predicted to here!
Have a wonderful Saturday, and don't let the turkeys/bigots get you down!

Such a lovely card! And I was wondering how you might feel with all the heat and attention on Sally Kern. It's an odd feeling when your state or profession gets a negative light because of something in the media, especially when you disagree.

This is really lovely, Carole. After all the hate that has been spewed by that woman (I can't even bring myself to mention her name), it's wonderful to see things of beauty being created instead.
