Entertaining always sounds fun in the early planning stages, doesn't it? And then, as the time for the event creeps closer, it begins to sound... less fun. At least for me. I go in to full blown procrastination mode. Now (it's Friday afternoon as I'm writing this) I'm trying to do the math on exactly how many hours it's going to take to make my house 'Baby Shower Ready.' Whatever I come up with, I need to just multiply by 2 because everything always takes me twice as long as my optimistic estimate.
Don't get me wrong: I love my friend for whom I'm co-hostessing the shower. It's just that I'm wondering now why I was so insistent that it be held at my house...
Assuming history will repeat itself, I'm fairly certain I will NOT have my SFYTT done for your viewing pleasure this (Saturday) morning. It's going to be the first thing I work on, though, after the shower and Truman's evening soccer game.
In the meantime, go to Jen's blog to see today's fun & fabulous sketch, and discover who the awesome Guest Designer for April is! And be sure to check out what my crafty, creative SFYTT Sisters have put together to delight and inspire you:
Yeah..i do the same thing. But once people are there, for me, it is all worth it. (unless they all leave early-don't you hate that?!?)
Good luck on getting it all accomplished. I am sure you will!

I think we all (or at least MANY of us) do that! Good luck with your prep and then enjoy looking at all the cute baby goodies! :)

Isn't this the truth??? I hope the shower was fun. I'm sure it sounded like fabulous incentive to get your house shipped into shape back in February when you asked to do it. Do I sound like the voice of experience or what???? Can't wait to see your card! Hugs, friend!!
