Howdy, Hoppers! Did you start at the beginning with Kim, then hop your way along the jar-filled trail, making your way to me via the beautiful and talented Jessie? If so, I imagine your brain is bursting with all sorts of fabulous gift-giving ideas that will make someone's day, but not break the bank!
Speaking of brains, I wracked mine trying to think of something good to show you all. I figure a lot of you are like me: crazy busy and stressed for time, trying to get all of those end-of-the-school-year obligations wrapped up. Thus, whipping up something home-made was out of the question. I also figure I'm not the only one out there trying to lose a couple of pounds before I have to get into a bathing suit this summer. So, the challenge I gave myself was to come up with jar contents that were quick, easy, inexpensive, and non-caloric!
I also wanted to steer clear of bath & body products because I knew I couldn't come close to comparing with what some of the Marthas (I say that with love and respect ;) ) on the team were concocting for you.
So what did I end up with? A different kind of bubbly...
... of the chewing variety!
The 'recipe' for my gift is fairly easy.
1. Create jar topper and label using the Time For the Bubbly Label set. Decorate your jar.
Side note: These jars are the BOMB! I love the squared off sides -- so much easier for displaying stamped images -- and they're plastic, so no more glass jars crashing down in my altered stash. That's actually happened to me before and creating quite a dangerous mess!
2. Dump three BigEPak containers of Orbit White Sugar-free Bubblemint gum into the jar. (I got mine at WalMart. Each container has 60 pieces of gum and costs around $2.00)
So, for around $9.00, here's a thoughtful little treat that will give a pal hours of chewing pleasure, whiter teeth, and a nifty jar suitable for regifting or storing cotton balls or ... well, her imagination's the limit! Not to mention that it's a fun way to show one of your calorie conscious comrades that you support her efforts. Who -- who?! I demand to know! -- could ask for anything more?!
File that one away, and head on over to the sweet, petite and oh-so-creative Christina's blog to see what she's got up her sleeve for you. It's bound to be a winner!
