Hello! Welcome to another TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge! May I take your jacket? Offer you a drink? I'm this week's Hipster Hostess with the Mostess, and I take my hostess duties very seriously. The bathroom? It's down the hall and to the right...
So, ready for a nifty sketch to get you going? Take a gander...
What do you think? As I was making the sketch, I contemplated how I was in desperate need of some graduation cards (it's that time of year, you know).
After I found out the high school colors of the graduates, I turned out a couple of cards both of which use this sketch. The first high school's colors were maroon and white. I added a little touch of black as a border and accent to make things pop...
The next school colors I had to work with were navy and gray...
I created patterned paper using the Grad Hats stamp. Other stamps used are Grad Cat and Hats Off To You. One of the cards is going to a boy and the other to a girl, but I think it's a fairly unisex card, don't you? I figure the recipients will mostly be interested in the checks inside, but hopefully their moms will appreciate the cards. (Nod your head in agreement, Kayla... ;) )
I know lots of my Cat Pack-ers have made cute creations for the challenge with sneaky peekies of the new TCP sets coming out on May 29th -- you are going to LOVE-LOVE-LOVE 'em, I promise! -- so be sure to check out their blogs for a looksie. (See the blogroll to your left.)
And here's how you play along with our challenge and get a chance to become the next Swanky Stamper:
1. Each a week one of The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.
4. Link your project on this week’s hostess’ challenge announcement. This week you will link your project to THIS POST by midnight Saturday, May 23rd.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6.
There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s
Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP
site!}.
7. When uploading to SCS, please use the keyword TCPTUES59 for this challenge.
8. Alma will post the entries from the week the following Monday on her blog.
9. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will
be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry
posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the
entire month!
10. HAVE FUN!!!

Carole, I absolutely adore the DP you created. I took one look at your cards and thought to myself, "I need to go to my LSS and look for some DP like Carole's", that is until I read your every word and discovered that you'de created it yourself! Very impressive!

Carole, thanks for the FUN sketch!!! And your graduation cards are PERFECT, an A++! Really like how you did your own background paper out of the caps and how you went with the school colors for a personal touch!
