Hey, peeps! Guess what? I'm this week's Fabulous Friend at My Favorite Things! Go to Kim's blog to see the exclusive Fabulous Friends projects I made and for an oh-so-revealing interview of yours truly. Here's a little peek of what you'll find there:
Of course, I'm very honored to be one of MFT's Fabulous Friends as I love Kim dearly and MFT stamps are definitely among my very favorite stamps in the whole wide world.
Do you play favorites? I do. I tell each of my children he is my favorite, but I'm quite transparent about it, and always do it within earshot of the other. I tell Truman he is my '#1 son' and I tell Carter that 'I saved the best for last.'
Why, just last night, I was out in the front driveway playing Frisbee with Sean and Carter (just imagine...). I wasn't in the best of moods, I admit. Carter had been bossing me around all day, and Sean had made some semi-harmless comment that hit me wrong (I can't remember what it was, but I'm sure I was quite within my rights to be stomping around, muttering loudly about how taken for granted and mistreated I am). They had coaxed me outside with the mention of Frisbee, which I kind of love.
They obviously think I'm so simple that fresh air and the feel of a disc in my hand would instantly dissolve my righteous indignation.
And while it appeared to be so, when Truman walked out the front door a few moments later, I announced loudly to God and the neighbors, "Truman, you are officially my favorite child and family member at this moment."
His response? "Great, Mom." And then he proceeded to try to steal any toss that came within 10 square feet of me. The nerve...
Anyway, go visit Kim's blog and see what handy-yet-beautiful objects I created that I intend to use on a daily basis. And leave a comment that I'm your Favorite Fabulous Friend; I need someone to appreciate me as CLEARLY I am under-valued by the men in my life!
Beautiful projects! Great interview too! :D

You are very valued by all of us MFT Junkies!! And I can't tell you how heartening it is to hear about you playing Frisbee with Carter! Next week we have an appointment to get Jackson fitted for his first Wheelchair - and he's just 18 months!!
Nice to see you still creating!

Congratulations on becoming this week's Fabulous Friend. I had a similar weekend as you've so aptly described in your post, but mine was with my husband and our 12-year old daughter. Love your artwork!

Oh how I despise my need to be constantly validated by others in my life about how wonderful I am and how they couldn't live a moment without me, when OBVIOUSLY they can and they know this so sometimes, (mostly ALL the time) they refuse to play my reindeer games. I will play with you Carole, this is spectacular( I really mean that, I'm not just playing games) and I think your blog is fabulous, because I love hearing stories from lives other than mine. Thank you for sharing and know that we love you oh so much.
