Stunningly elegant card for such a sad occasion. Sorry to hear about your friend's loss.
You did well on your colour scheme, though. I love it and that embossing folder is also great. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's always having a hard time coming up with the right combination of colours, textures, ribbon and what have you...
At least it's an excuse to buy more stuff, LOL.

Carole, this is such a beautiful card. The colour scheme is elegant, and warm. I love the softness that the felt flowers add; a perfect touch.

Stunning! Such a beautiful card Carole and I'm sure the recipient will appreciate it very much.

This is beautiful, Carole. All the paper/flower/ribbon choices look terrific. And yes, Jody does have a rule for ivory over white cardstock if the patterned paper dictates. It's a rule I follow for fear of punishment....LOL

Carole, for all the angst about it, this card turned out beautifully and I know your friend will aprreciate it.

The card is absolutely lovely. I agree, totally, with your comment on how difficult it is to construct sympathy cards. I think trying to make it as perfect as you can without all the literal elements of death can add to the difficulty. You got it together on this one. Congrats on the card and sorry about the loss.

Stephanie Kraft

Beautiful card, Carole! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's loss. This will no doubt be appreciated.

Such a beautiful card! Sorry you needed to make it. And... have you ever considered cutting your 12x12 paper down to 6x6 to store with your paper pads? I haven't, but I've heard of others doing this. :-)

Beautiful card! It's always hard to make the sympathy cards, sorry for your friends loss.

Ellen Parker

Your card is beautiful. I agree with you about sympathy cards. I think the hardest decision for me is just choosing the colors.

Darnell J Knauss

I appreciate that you shared the angst and thought process you went through making this seemingly beautiful and effortless layered card! It gives us hope that the DT struggles, too! Thank you for the beautiful card inspiration.

Sympathy cards are the hardest to make. This one is beautiful - love the combination of pattern and textures.

What a beautiful card. Love those flowers. :)

Carole! I love how stylish this card is. Always a hard subject to cover :)
