Alas, it's October 31st, and thus, my reign as October Guest Designer for i {heart} papers is at an end. *sigh* I have truly enjoyed my month, playing with ihp's various and sundry products; it's truly renewed my love for this wonderful art we stampers/papercrafters do. I have to admit, due to the ups and downs that make up this roller coaster we call 'life,' I had lost more than a bit of my joie de vivre for stamping and card-making. But having made the commitment to Kate and ihp months ago, I dove back in with the determination to make her proud. And guess what? I re-discovered the fun and enthusiasm I felt for this awesome hobby that I first felt, years ago; long before blogs, design teams, hit counts, and comments were even a figment of my imagination. I can't think of a more ringing endorsement for a temp gig than that, can you?
Therefore, in my last contribution as ihp's Guest Designer, I've made a thank-you card. Granted, it's a thank-you card for a teacher, and it fulfills the requirements for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge, but why not kill 3 birds with a single stone? That seems green, does it not?
Here's the current PS SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge:
And here's what it inspired me to create:
Card ingredients you can get from ihp include:
- Paper Smooches' stamps sets: Teen Routine (lockers), Smarty Pants (sentiment), Hang Ups (bird 1), Smoocheroos (bird 2), and Chilly Chums (bird 3)
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Copic X-Press Blending Cardstock
- Copic Markers
- Dimensional Dots
- Oyster Divine Twine
ihp's owner and CEO, Kate, lives in New Jersey and in the path of Hurricane/Frankenstorm/whateveryoucallher Sandy, and is currently without power, etc. Instead of just being flooded with storm damage, spoiled food, and what not, wouldn't it be amazing for her inbox to be flooded with orders when she got back up online? If it's in your power and/or desire to do so, I urge you now - more than ever - to show one of our favorite online papercrafting resources that we support them and love them for the happiness/supplies they bring to us. Don't forget - Christmas is right around the corner, and who among your crafty friends wouldn't love a gift certificate from i {heart} papers?
Love the card! Those colors are one of my favorite combos! Thanks for getting me a gift cert... I'll be waiting for it.. ;)
