Yay! My last graduation card of the year is finally made and it's not even July yet! That's probably some sort of record (for me). I think I've finally come up with my go-to graduation card with this latest number; my plan is to make a dozen of these at the start of graduation season next year. Just churn 'em out, write those checks, and be done with 'em! Here's what they'll look like:
- Taylored Expressions Graphic Greetings Graduate Image
- Dies: Grad Cap & Banner Stacklets 1 (Taylored Expressions), largest sizes of the Large and Small Rectangles Nestabilities
- two sheets of coordinating patterned paper (this is from Doodlebug Designs Cap & Gown 6"x6" pad. I think I'm going to have to order another pad of this from i {heart} papers as it's the cutest graduation paper I've ever seen, and heaven knows it won't be available for long enough).
- white and black cardstock
- Momento Tuxedo Black ink
- Dimensional Dots
- a little bling for corner detail (I used Kaisercraft's Ebony Sparklets)
Here's a close-up of the cute little grad cap die cut:
This particular card is going to our next-door-neighbors'/BFF's niece, who is heading off to our alma mater, The University of Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!). Here's my favorite story about Crystal. When she was three or four, she was staying up in Claremore for a weekend, visiting her Uncle Brad. I was making a little small talk with her, and asked her what her favorite song was. I expected her to say "Mary Had a Little Lamb" or "Wheels on the Bus" or some such ditty. Instead, she broke into a rousing version of Tim McGraw's "I Like It, I Love It (I want some more of it)." Hee.
Crystal, this one's for you:
